Buzz Electrical Ltd were privileged to be contracted tocarry out the full electrical installation to a new elegant, neo-gothic GardenFolly in 2020 which was built within the grounds of an 18th- centurymansion in Worcestershire.

The 18th-centurymansion was requisitioned during the 2nd world war where “peers andpoachers served together” as part of training Churchill’s “secret army” for thewar effort.

Initially Buzz Electrical had to complete some general alterations at the incoming mains position within the main house to allow us to install a submain cable from the house incoming supply to feed the new Folly this was run discreetly through the cellar areas and then over to the new Folly by means of a trench where this is terminated into a new dedicated distribution board to feed the circuits throughout the Folly.

The general electrical installation due to the nature of the building was more complicated than usual although the Folly has fairly small foot print the design of thebuilding limited routes for the installation of cabling so with this in mindand working alongside the professional team a sympathetic electricalinstallation was installed using a coordinated design between all parties whichis testament to the main contractor, architect & interior designers.

Electrical accessories from Forbes & Lomax alongside individual and carefullyconsidered light fitting provided by the interior designers were installed togive an ageless yet modern twist to this beautiful building.

The professional team consisted of the following:

Main Contractor: J. Rigg Construction Ltd

Architect: Quinlan TerryArchitects

Interior Designer: Rosanna Bossom Interiors Ltd
